OSCEOLA MAN ANSWERS CALL

C. H. BUSK, of Osceola township, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 2nd, after a lingering illness. He had been a sufferer from bronchial trouble for many years but dropsy is given as the immediate cause of his death. The funeral was held at the home Thursday, Rev. Victor RYBERG officiating. The interment was in the cemetery west of Summit. C. H. BUSK was born in Denmark in 1854. He came to America and settled at Perth Amboy, N.J. He was married there on October 20th, 1883, to Anna Christina HANSON. The couple moved to Minnesota and remained there until 1902 when they came to Osceola Township, Grant County, South Dakota. After coming west, he always followed farming. To them was born eight children: Mrs. N. P. NELSON of Westbrook, Minn.; Mrs. L. P. PEDERSON, of DePere, S. D.; and Henry, Alfred, Carl, David, Willie, and Myrtle residing at home. Mrs. [Sophie] PEDERSON and a brother of Mrs. BUSK, Christopher HANSON of Westbrook, Minn., arrived for the funeral. The deceased was a kind husband and father and a good citizen and he will be sadly missed by the mourning widow and children. The sympathy of the people of Summit go to the family in their bereavement. -- Summit Independent.
