Mrs. W. R. MINOR died in this city Tuesday forenoon after a lingering illness of about eighteen months. She was born near Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, in 1865 and was married to Mr. MINOR ten years ago and moved to this state with him five years afterwards. She had been a sufferer from the dread disease consumption for a long time, the first symptoms showing themselves about six years ago. The best medical aid of the land had been tried but to no use. The disease triumphed and she has gone to the better land where suffering is not known -- a firm believer in a christian faith. She was the mother of six children, one of whom passed on before her. She leaves, besides her children and husband, a father and mother and several brothers and sisters to mourn her loss. The funeral was conducted by Rev. D. RIFENBARK in the Baptist church at noon Wednesday. The remains were then taken to Aurelia, Iowa, for interment, accompanied by the family of the deceased and her mother, Mrs. HILLS, and sister Miss Laura HILLS and Mrs. Al MINOR. The bereaved family and relatives have the sincere sympathy of many friends.
